🚨 The Real Problem Isn’t AI.

🚨 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺 𝗜𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗔𝗜. 𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀. “𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝗳 𝗔𝗜 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗱𝗲, 𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝗺𝘂𝗰𝗵 — 𝗰𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗮 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹 % 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲.”

I keep hearing this biggest Myth that many engineers parrot now after growing acceptance that AI can actually code:

There are many like myself embracing AI first engineering practices, but sadly it doesn't feel like the majority of engineers are, some are actively fighting it's adoption fully by not changing their ways even though businesses are screaming for it.

This is a culture and fear of change issue, not a technology issue. That’s the uncomfortable truth most won’t admit, it's easier to say AI isn't up to it than the engineers.

📢 This myth is echoing across LinkedIn — justifying the status quo, clinging to decades-old processes, and ignoring the shift already happening.

👨‍💻 I’ve been an engineer for over 𝟮𝟱 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 — I get it. I value craft, care about quality, and understand real-world engineering. But I’m also a tech leader who actively rolled up my sleeves and spent the last couple of years learning to engineer with AI not just code — and I see the disconnect.

🔍 Yes, most of the time engineers spend isn't writing code — it’s: • Figuring out what code does • Navigating vague requirements • Creating boilerplate • Managing process & politics • Fighting to get useful work prioritized

🧠 AI can now help with all of that, 100% of the job, to say AI can only code and make a difference in a small % of an engineers job is frankly BS.

So no — the issue isn’t that AI doesn’t accelerate massively. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸.
